COP29

Ragn-Sells is joining the discussions at COP29 to highlight the urgent need to adopt circular principles. By transforming waste into valuable resources, we can meet the growing demand for essential nutrients needed to feed a rising global population. This approach is crucial to achieving long-term climate goals and securing a sustainable future.

Ragn-Sells will participate in three key sessions at the Swedish pavilion and during Business Sweden's opening of the Swedish pavilion. These sessions will explore the transformation of wastewater treatment plants into resource plants, highlighting how circular phosphorus flows can strengthen the agricultural and aquaculture industries. This includes addressing how sustainable nutrient recycling from waste can protect vital ecosystems such as the oceans.

"Phosphorus recycling is a game-changer for global food production. It reduces dependency on finite resources while safeguarding the environment. Our participation at COP29 is about showing that system change is not only necessary, but possible"
